Ramen is the most famous Japanese noodle dish. However, there are many different types of noodle dishes eaten at home.
Self Introduction
Nice to meet you. My name is Kimura and I live in northern Tokyo.
I work as a company employee and lead a normal life.
I am a Japanese who does not speak English and have no particular experience traveling abroad.
I would like to share the daily life of such a Japanese person on this blog. This blog is mainly for foreigners who are interested in Japan.
I will not focus on the famous tourist spots in Tokyo such as Shibuya, Shinjuku, Asakusa, etc., but will mainly introduce information that does not appear in tourist guides.
I know ramen is the most popular noodle dish in Japan, but…
I think Japanese food is not uncommon in various countries.
I think it is also common for Japanese people traveling abroad to find Japanese restaurants. And one of the most well-known Japanese foods is Ramen.
There are many types of ramen. The basic flavors are as follows
Plus,
There’s also something called “Super Spicy Ramen,” “Ebi Ramen,” and “Tsukemen,” and some restaurants get Michelin stars for their ramen. These days, it is common to see people from overseas green light customers standing in line at famous restaurants. You may already be more familiar with the situation than I am.

Japanese people of the past generation would remember this style of ramen, but recently the evolution has been amazing.
I have been talking about ramen for a long time, but what am I actually eating today? I will introduce what I actually eat today. This is a real noodle dish that I eat at home.
Sure, ramen at the restaurant is delicious. But it’s a hassle to wait in line. Noodle dishes you can easily eat at home.
I’ll eat instant food or something at home.
I eat it especially for lunch and so on.
I often buy ramen, but it is “yakisoba”. It is sold at a local supermarket for about 100 yen.
(Is yakisoba sold in other countries as well?)
Let’s make and eat instant yakisoba.
Here is a simple way to make it.
Manufacturer Maruk-chan
Salt Yakisoba
The design of the package, written in Japanese, shows the atmosphere of “the quantity is a lot!

The recipe is simple and easy to follow,
Pour in hot water.

Wait 3 minutes.
Discard hot water.
This is called “yukiri” in Japanese.
Pour in hot water.
Wait for 3 minutes.
Discard the hot water. In Japanese, this is called “yugiri”.

I often eat this.

It is delicious in the cold winter. It’s called “Nabeyaki Udon” (udon noodles cooked in a pot).

It is sold at stores in a cooking vessel with vegetables, noodles and meat. It is lined up in supermarkets during the cold season. While cooking on the table, you can eat hot udon as soon as it is ready.
A small stove is necessary for cooking on the table.
I think there is one of these in every household in Japan.
Do they exist in other countries as well?

It’s a small flame, but after about 10 minutes of warming, vegetables and meat will be cooked.
I forgot to take it in the picture, but soup is also set in jelly form, and when it gets warm, it melts and becomes soup.
With this product, you don’t even need to add water or hot water.
Just buy it, peel off the plastic, put it on the fire, and it is ready to eat.
I don’t remember the price, but I think it was about 400 yen.

This is my first blog, but I hope it gives you some idea of the atmosphere.
Of course I also go to eat ramen at the restaurant. However, I usually eat this kind of meal more on a daily basis. I have no idea who would enjoy this kind of thing, but I am writing this in the hope that there might be at least one person in the world who would be interested. If anyone is interested in such a boring article, please leave a comment. Let’s become friends!
Thank you for reading to the end.
