In September in Japan, various restaurants offer menus related to moon viewing.
The other day I tried Kentucky’s Tsukimi Burger, then McDonald’s Tsukimi Burger.

Before introducing the tsukimi burger, I looked up when McDonald’s tsukimi series started.
Apparently, it is a popular product that has been offered every year at this time since around 1996.
The McDonald’s Tsukimi is only available until late October,
If you are planning to come to Japan on vacation, try it if you have a chance!

There seem to be three types of burgers available this year,

・Tsukimi Burger
・Cheese Tsukimi
・Gyu-suki(Sukiyaki) tsukimi with Shichimi (I don’t think I translated it well.)

The Tsukimi Burger and Cheese Tsukimi are the standard items that are offered every year.
Gyu-suki(Sukiyaki) tsukimi with Shichimi (I don’t think I translated it well.) is a new product.
It is very difficult to explain this.
I mean shichimi + gyu-suki(sukiyaki) + tsukimi burger,

Shichimi = a spice that is sprinkled on various dishes to add a bit of spiciness. Shichimi is found on the tables of many restaurants, Shichimi can be found on the tables of many restaurants, and can be sprinkled in small amounts according to the tastes of the people who eat it. It can also be sprinkled on udon and soba noodles, and for me, it is an essential ingredient in Sukiya’s cheese beef bowl.
(I will also introduce the cheese gyudon batter I introduced earlier. Somehow this article is the only one that gets a lot of access, is Sukiya’s Gyudon famous?)

Sukiyaki = In Japan, there is a dish called sukiyaki. It is a dish in which thinly sliced beef is quickly simmered with vegetables and eaten with an egg.

So,
Shichimi + Gyu-suki + Tsukimi Burger sounds like it would taste like a Japanese-style dish,
But it is impossible to imagine it with this description.

It was 420 yen for a single item.
The reason why it is a tsukimi burger after all is because the egg is made to look like the moon,

I think the egg is quite nicely done.
Of course, I think that it is beautifully photographed in the photograph of McDonald’s HP,

I am sorry to say that this is a picture of a bite,

The egg is quite firm, and there is a firm feeling of eating an egg.
The sauce inside is a tomato creamy sauce, and I think the egg flavor and the tomato-based sauce go well together.
The bacon in one of these is a good match by any measure.

I think it is a satisfying product that I would like to eat at least once every year.
Japan has four seasons, and I think this is one of the events that make me feel the season of the end of summer.

I encourage everyone who travels to Japan to experience this kind of Japan-only product of a product that is available all over the world.

It is hard to explain the shichimi-scented beef tsukimi burger.
