Rikugien Garden in Northern Tokyo Still Early for Autumn Leaves

Today I visited Rikugien, a Japanese garden in the northern part of Tokyo.
How many tourists know about this garden?

I have attached a photo of Rikugien on the top page of this site,
Rikugien is one of the two most beautiful gardens in Edo (Tokyo), where you can enjoy various plants in spring, summer, fall, and winter.

Rikugien is a garden that offers a wide variety of plants in different seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter.
My recommendation among them is the autumn leaves.
Autumn leaves.means that the leaves of normally green plants turn red or yellow.
It is a phenomenon in which the leaves of deciduous plants change color before they fall.

The leaves change color all at once during a short period of time just before they fall, though,
Each year, the best time to see the color changes slightly depending on the temperature and other conditions of the year.
For visitors from overseas, it may be difficult to adjust to the changing conditions.

In my spare time, I checked out Rikugien, and this year the leaves were still green.
Looking at the opinions of others on X (Twitter), some people were of the same opinion that it is still too early to go.

Today, as the title says, we were talking about the fact that it is still too early for autumn leaves!

Rikugien’s website announced a special nighttime viewing.

The garden is specially illuminated at night, when it is normally closed to visitors. Tokyo has been getting colder since yesterday, so perhaps we will be able to see beautiful autumn leaves.
