After growing mushrooms at home
This is Kimura from Tokyo.
Today I would like to introduce the aftermath of the mushroom growing set we received.
This blog may be of no use to anyone in the world.
It is just a story about an ordinary man living in Tokyo who is growing mushrooms on his table.
We are enjoying our mushroom growing kit!
We have introduced mushroom cultivation on our blog last time as well. Take a look if you like!
I am growing mushrooms from a series called “Mushroom Growing Set to Grow at Home.
The product is manufactured by a company called Nippon Norin Seed Corporation.
The company is located in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. (Shizuoka Prefecture is where Mt.)

It has been roughly a month since we started growing these mushrooms.
Right after we started growing them, we harvested mushrooms that were large enough to eat.
I don’t expect to harvest many since I’m growing them in a very small box.
They come out one at a time, but you can get just the right size to finely chop and put on top of a salad.
I was serious about growing them for a while, but then I got busy and left them alone and they just kept getting bigger and bigger.
How big can it get?
I decided to leave it without harvesting until it stopped growing!
Then it grew so far.

Compare with the photos in the previous blog.

The one on the right is the size you can often find in supermarkets.
The color of the mushrooms has changed a lot. It looks like a shiitake mushroom.
It is hard to see in the photo, but the underside of the umbrella is almost blackish brown.

Upon closer inspection, I see that,
Mushrooms have a closed mushroom umbrella,
But when they get bigger, there is a difference in the open part of the mushroom.
Is this where they skip seeds, as in plants?
Mushrooms are mushrooms, so are they sending out fungi?
If so, will they increase if I leave them like this?
I’ll leave it like this and observe.
