From northern Tokyo to Saitama Prefecture by motorbike

This is Kimura from Tokyo. It is getting warmer and warmer here, and it is starting to feel like summer.
Now is the most comfortable climate. On weekends, I go for a drive on my motorcycle.

I live in the northern part of Tokyo, so it is a driving route from here, To the south, I recommend the area around the Imperial Palace. If you want to go west, there is one of the best roads in Tokyo called Okutama. There are many fast motorcycles on the road.

This time, we went north and rode through the neighboring Saitama Prefecture. It was my first time on this road, but I happened to arrive at a place with beautiful scenery, so I will introduce it to you.

I arrived here when I was driving leisurely on an unfamiliar road. I introduced this photo on Instagram.

The cherry blossoms were a little past full bloom, and the fallen petals were making a stream in the river.
There are many fishermen lined up at regular intervals on this river. However, they were not throwing lures or talking much. The river was very calm and the place was very quiet.

    What is this river?

Later, I found out that the name of this river is “Binuma River. It seems to be one of the best fishing spots in the Kanto region. What these people seem to be doing is “Herabuna fishing.

I had never heard of “Herabuna fishing, The reason for this is that the Herabuna are very wary and difficult to see, so it is difficult to catch them. Although it is a difficult type of fishing, there seem to be many enthusiasts. In Japan, there is an old saying, “Fishing begins and ends with crucian carp, Herabuna fishing is a hobby that has been popular among Japanese people for a long time. To be honest, I only just learned about it.

I guess this is what I meant by the tranquility I felt when I arrived at this river. I had a quiet cup of coffee next to it and came back!

Here is a map of the location. If you are from the northern part of Tokyo, you can get there in about an hour, depending on the location.

The recommended route is to go along the river as much as possible, so you can proceed smoothly without using the highway! I think you will get lost if this is all you do… In the future, I would like to introduce some local driving routes. Anyone is welcome to join me on a bike ride!

    Today’s blog is short!
    I’ll be back.
