I ate Famichiki Omusubi from FamilyMart.

Hello, this is Kimura, a lazy blogger.
Today I’d like to introduce you to some rice balls from a convenience store.
There is a major convenience store called Family Mart. One of the most popular items at this store is “Famichiki”. It is a fried chicken.
We Japanese love it, and I learned from the comments of a You Tuber living in Japan that it is also popular among foreigners.
The “Famichiki Omusubi” is a collaboration of this popular chicken and onigiri (rice ball).

Let’s eat the Famichiki Omusubi right away

The package says “Famichiki Tartar Sandwich Omusubi. Famichiki is the popular chicken from FamilyMart that I mentioned earlier. Tartar is tartar sauce, a mixture of mayonnaise and boiled egg. It is often used for chicken dishes in Japan. It is wrapped in rice and nori (seaweed) and is called “Famichiki Onigiri.

    Let’s open the bag.

There is a large piece of Famichiki in the bag. At this point, you can see that it is larger than a regular onigiri.

The tartar is hidden. This combination must be delicious.

The photo is not a good look, but the chicken is thick for a convenience store onigiri.
It is 325 yen per piece, but it is a satisfying rice ball. If you are traveling in Japan, I highly recommend you to try it.

It tastes better if you have the restaurant warm it up for you when you eat it!
