Kimura's blog in Tokyo

I’ll have a frozen food rice burger.

My name is Kimura and I live in the northern part of Tokyo.
It has become warmer and very comfortable in Tokyo.
In Japan, March is the month of graduation and April is the month of entering school and joining a new company. There is a lot of activity in the new life.
Let’s make easy frozen foods for lunch when you are busy.
Today’s dish is Rice Burger Beef Kalbi!

What is a frozen food rice burger??

Don’t you know this food manufacturer from instant ramen and other products overseas?
It is Maruchan. (I forgot to take a picture so I’ll crop it out.)

Maruchan is a company that makes not only instant noodles, but also frozen foods, ham and sausage, soups, and many other foods. My body and I are made of Maruchan, too.

One of Maruchan’s frozen foods that I have been seeing a lot lately is this rice burger.
I forgot the price again, but I think it is about 200 yen!

When you open the outer bag, you will find another sheet of paper wrapped around it.

It says in Japanese, “Beware of burns! is written in Japanese.
You can eat it in a microwave oven without removing the bag.
    500W 2 minutes 30 seconds
    600W 2 minutes

Frozen food is really convenient when you are busy.

It was ready in no time.

The rice is shaped like a hamburger bun. It is baked and smells sweet.
They are small, 120 grams each (204 calories), so you might want to add something else if you want to have them for lunch.

The sweet aroma came from the ingredients inside. The sweet sauce of beef ribs has a nice aroma.
The flavor is strong and strong. If you like light flavor, you might be able to eat white rice with this as a side dish.

I always say the same thing on this blog,
I want people from overseas to experience the high quality of Japanese frozen foods.
We Japanese take the price, convenience, and quality of frozen foods for granted, but I would really like to hear what foreign people think of them,

Maruchan’s rice burger. What else do you have in your lineup??

The buns made of rice are very tasty. The surface is grilled and also crunchy. The inside also has a chewy texture peculiar to rice. I think they are really delicious rice buns.

Do you have any others? I checked Maruchan’s website and they do.
There are three other varieties just not available at my local supermarket.

    • Ishiyaki Bibimbap
    • yakiniku
    • Roulou rice

This would be fun to buy on Amazon and compare them.
But isn’t the difference between kalbi and yakiniku almost the same?

    Thoughts on the rice burger

    A new question has arisen.
We would like to verify the difference in taste between kalbi and yakiniku in the future.
I also want to know if this is sold abroad. Shall I look for it on Instagram?
