Eating 7-Eleven Rice Burgers
My name is Kimura and I live in the northern part of Tokyo. The big holiday weekend called Golden Week is over in Japan. Schools and companies have returned to their usual weekdays. The next big vacation is the summer vacation, which falls around the third week of August.
I will continue to introduce food, and today I will introduce some Japanese food as well.
Rice burger found at 7-Eleven
I had a rice burger I bought at a supermarket and it was delicious. This time, I found a rice burger at a convenience store, so I bought one!

This is a rice burger from 7-Eleven. The product names are “Rice Burger Aburi Beef Kalbi” and “Rice Burger Aburi Beef Yakiniku”. Today we will eat the “Aburi Beef Yakiniku” in the red package.

Rice Burger Aburi Beef Yakiniku
1 piece 120g 216kcal
Microwave 500w: 2min 30sec 600w: 2min
Amount is about 200 yen

This product seems to be cut into a little. This is to prevent the product from bursting while being heated in the microwave.

Let’s take the warmed rice burger out of the bag. Another bag has appeared. In the center, there is a sign in Japanese that reads, “Be careful not to get burned by the heat! and a warning in Japanese in the center.

Carefully open the hot bag, and the burger comes out from inside. This looks a lot like the rice burger I ate at the supermarket before.

As I looked inside while eating, I noticed that the meat was slightly charred, as indicated by the “Seared Beef Yakiniku” label. For my part, I would have preferred more charring.
The package says it is dry, but it has a sweet taste like yakiniku sauce and is easy to eat. I guess I feel the sweetness because there are onions in it. Overall, you can enjoy the rice burger with a strong flavor. I think these rice patties are very tasty. And I know I say the same thing over and over again, but it looks a lot like a supermarket rice burger.

You may not recognize it because it is lined with Japanese, but if you look at the company that manufactures it, it is a company called Toyo Suisan. It seems that the same company as the supermarket riceburgers sells them. The same company seemed to manufacture them in different flavors. Both convenience stores and supermarkets use grilled meat as an ingredient, but since the rice patties are so delicious, I would be happy to see more variations.
